ROCK IS BACK PART DEUX
The CONTINUING saga of ROCK RADIO and Male dominated stations played out this week in Houston as the People Meter (PPM) once again showed Rock Radio's true strength, heretofore under sampled and therefore not recognized. That recognition is now impossible to ignore. First Philly and now Houston.
KBTZ (Alternative Rock) is ranked #1 12+, going from a 4.0 in Winter '07 (Diary Method) to a 5.8 share for June '07 using the People Meter(PPM).
KKRW (Classic Rock) went 2.8 to 4.5.
KHTC (Classic Hits) went 2.0 to 3.9.
The other Big success story comes from another Male dominated format, Country.
KILT went from 3.2 to 4.6, KKBQ went 2.6 to 4.1 and Classic Country, KTHT went 2.0 to 3.0.
As I said back on May 2nd after the Philadelphia results came in, get ready for some interesting days ahead. Rock Radio-It’s like you never left!!!
